I am a big believer in the bar code product. It has made a huge difference for us. Not only has it saved me a lot of money in lost inventory et cetera, we operate much more efficiently and we are better organized.

Shipments are a key component to the service cycle, whether you are shipping equipment and items to or from other locations, customers, manufacturers (for RMA) or third parties (for repair). The ServicePlus Shipping component ensures detailed tracking of parts and equipment through the complete shipping cycle, and integrates with all other ServicePlus components to provide vital cross-process status updates and events monitoring.

Shipment - Manages the shipping event, recording destination, ship requests, number of pieces, weight and customs information.
  • Query shipments by ship-to address / company / contact / phone, carrier, source, status, shipment ID, date range.
  • Shipment records date requested, ship-by date, ship-to, ship request notes, make / model, stock number, quantity, serial number, carrier, source document.
  • Status is updated automatically by ServicePlus as the shipment moves through the shipping cycle.
  • Simple identification of the nature of the shipment via shipment type indicator - shipment, receive from service, receive from customer, item transfer.
  • Quick ship function (from Logbook's job) allows the user to bypass the default workflow to expedite shipments. The shipment is created, packed and marked "in transit" in one step.
  • "Must ship" indicator at job and item request reminding the user that the unit must be shipped back to the customer.
  • Create drop shipments from purchase orders.
  • Print related documents (e.g. packing slips, waybills) through the ServicePlus Form Layout Editor.
  • Notepads.
  • 3 user defined fields, 1 searchable.
  • Event log: tracks related events and documents.
Ship Request - Created directly from the relevant source documents in Logbook, Inventory and Purchasing, the ship request logs information about the item or equipment being shipped, the carrier and the destination address.
  • Unlimited ship requests per shipment, when each ship request has the same ship-to address.
  • Status is updated automatically by ServicePlus as the ship request moves through the shipping cycle.
  • Query ship requests based on ID, ship-to address, source, status, make, model, carrier, date, etc.
Workflow - Defines steps in the shipping process (e.g. pack, invoice before ship); activates the auto-ship function that bypasses the ship request phase.
